Newsletter summer 2015

Dear Business Partner,

Thank you for your continued confidence and loyalty. You have never questioned our decision to incorporate Algra and gravuretec into the Algra Group. In fact, we have received overwhelmingly encouraging feedback about this important move, which is very pleasing.

Algra is now part of the Algra Group – along with gravuretec sa and connect tec AG. Developing two innovative and healthy companies with many similarities, but different characteristics under one roof is a rewarding and interesting challenge.

Algra AG in Merenschwand specialises in industrial processes and technology. Its customer base includes major companies from the household and medical technology industries. Stable production and high performance are ensured by precisely defined, proven processes. The operational environment at Algra is characterised by LEAN instruments and one-piece flow assembly. At the same time, we strive to incorporate the experience and creativity of our scientists into new technologies and products.

The CEO of connect tec AG is Dr Venkatesh Sivasubramaniam, an industry expert. The company, based in Merenschwand, has established an extensive network of suppliers including all manner of input systems, plastic casings and components made of die-cast aluminium. In addition, connect tec AG sells and provides advice on all matters related to piezoelectric components – Algra‘s core business for many years.

We now wish to build on the strengths of both sites while ensuring that our customers continue to benefit from the expert representatives and the prowess of Algra AG and gravuretec sa. We will serve the same customer
segments, but can now offer a much wider range of products and services.

gravuretec sa in Erlach delivers Swiss precision and has made highend manufacturing into an art form. In the company‘s in-house, fully automated anodising plant, ultra-precise anodised layers are created for use in dyeing or sub-anodised printing. Special attention is devoted to the numerous colour tones and maximum repeat accuracy. The care and maintenance of aluminium surfaces begins before the actual anodising process. Shape, elegance and maximum precision are guaranteed through free-form milling (with 5-axis machining centres), glass bead blasting and polishing.
